Industrial Brothers would like to introduce you to one of our talented artists – Chloe Tse!

Chloe is a CG Generalist, working on one of our new (top secret!) productions in collaboration with Netflix, and she also creates her own webcomic.

Above are a few pieces of Chloe’s artwork, and get to know her better below!

What inspired you to work in animation?
I grew up loving art, computers, and technology while the first CG animated movies were on the rise. I decided to combine my love for art and technology as my career, which led me to the world of CG animation and VFX.

What is your favorite thing about what you do?
Sounds cheesy but I enjoy the teamwork! When it all comes together, and you see how our individual efforts elevate each other’s work in the end product, it is very exciting and satisfying.

Are there any other creative disciplines you do in your spare time?
I separate my personal illustrations and comics from my career. I find it healthy to keep something to yourself that your food and rent are not relied upon to keep the pressure off your own creative work.

Is there any accomplishment you’re particularly proud of?
In the last few years, I worked on two TV shows that I am personally a big fan of, The Expanse and The Boys.
Last year, I properly launched my personal slice-of-life webcomic Curious Hoodie, which has always been a dream of mine, and gained a small following 😀

Do you have a tip or piece of advice for aspiring animators?
Be humble, generous with your knowledge, and open to learning no matter how many years of experience you have under your belt. Technology, especially software, is always evolving at an incredible speed, and we need to rely on each other to keep up to make our work go smoothly.
